The materials used by criminals to implement "AI face change" are mainly photos, especially ID photos. At the same time, the face recognition verification system is broken through by combining the name and ID number of the person. In order to prevent and crack down on this new type of crime, the public security organs, in conjunction with the State Key Laboratory and other units, carried out the safety assessment of face recognition and in-vivo detection technology, covering key apps such as instant messaging, webcasting, social networking, e-commerce platform and financial payment, which have a large number of users in China and have prominent hidden problems, and timely discovered the potential risks existing in the face recognition verification system, and notified the operators to upgrade security protection measures and face recognition algorithms. At the same time, relying on the special action of "Net Net", we organized a special battle to crack down on the source of crimes that leaked image information such as ID card photos, cracked 79 cases of "AI face-changing" and arrested 515 suspects, effectively curbing the momentum of such crimes.
