Corner Bathtubs – The Nouveau Riche Addition To Your Bathroom

When you are remodeling or building a home, there are so many different designs, styles and options that it becomes a difficult task to choose just one style for your bathroom. The best way to begin is by asking yourself what is most important. When it comes to corner bathtubs, many people will design the entire bathroom around that fixture.

Corner bathtubs have such a class and quality about them that they become the talking point of any bathroom. They also are very practical because they can save a lot of space but they have the feel of luxury and affluence. Corner bathtubs give your bathroom a “spa” feeling as if there was a Jacuzzi or hot tub right in your own home.

Most bathrooms can accommodate corner bathtubs because they literally can fit in any corner of your room. They come in different sizes and shapes allowing most people to be able to install them if they’ve fallen in love with the look. The only time corner bathtubs are difficult to fit is if you have a bathroom that is long and narrow so in this case, a traditional bathtub is probably best for you.

Of course, all corner bathtubs come in many different shapes, sizes and colors. Some corner bathtubs are triangular in shape while others have a more square look. There are many designer colors that corner bathtubs come in, so enhance the color motif of your bathroom. One important point to remember when deciding on the size and shape is how far away from your current plumbing the bathtub will be. If redoing your plumbing isn’t an issue, then you can pick any of the corner bathtubs available.

Maximize your Space with a Corner Tub!

After many years of the-same-old-same-old bathroom, we finally decided to do a remodeling project. We don’t have a lot of money to spend on this project, nor a large bathroom for that matter, so we were going to replace our existing shower stall by taking it, and the linen closet next to it, out and then putting in a shower with a bench-type seat in it.

That was before we went to the home improvement store to look at the selection of bathroom bathtubs. It was a little daunting to see all the different sizes and styles, and we even had a slight squabble in the aisle while discussing which color to choose. At one point we were leaning toward turning our basement bathroom into a spa and started pricing those since they allow two people or more depending on the size. The price tag on those squelched those ideas in a hurry.

Then we spotted a corner bathtub Jacuzzi unit. It offers the best of both worlds! Even with our limited space, a two-person corner bathtub would fit perfectly, and with the Jacuzzi features, we’d have the spa experience as well

corner bathtubs range in price from $600 to $1600, offer one and two-person styles, lumbar support, built in armrests, slip-resistant bottoms, dimensions that will fit in any size bathroom, and adjustable jets. With all these features, I’m sure to soak for at least an hour every time I’m in the bathtub. Good thing we have more than one bathroom.
So if you’re like us and have limited space or think that having a Jacuzzi isn’t possible in your bathroom, consider corner bathtubs. With a little creativity, we plan to take our bathroom from the ho-hum to the fabulous. The only thing holding us back now is how to decorate the rest of the bathroom!
