Rip Out Your Old Bathtub for Cast Iron Tubs

Those prefabricated bathtubs that are installed onto the wall do nothing for your bathroom. They are simply for showering and bathing, but nothing else. Even the manufacturer's attempt to have some sort of design just make it look even more prefabricated.  The tiles are not real tiles and just in the mold which does make it look any classier, but instead creates more grooves for soap scum to cling onto. If you want to get rid of this ugly eyesore and replace it with something worthwhile and more of a design appeal, then go with freestanding bathtubs or cast iron tubs.

Cast iron tubs are making a comeback and that is because the timeless design is something that is rarely forgotten.  A cast iron tub as opposed to the acrylic bathtubs are just as sturdy and has proven time and time again that it is a great material to make a bathtub out of.  Not only is a cast iron tub sturdy but they are usually made in antique styles such as a slipper style bathtub or a deep soaking Swedish style bathtub.  All these great styles will look great in your bathroom compared to what you have right now.

It may be a bit difficult to rip that old bathtub out but all you have to do is take it off the wall and then tile the floor and paint the walls.  The plumbing should be done by a professional to make sure everything works right and there is no leakage.  After that you can place your beautiful cast iron tub on that same spot and you'll notice what a different cast iron tubs make in the bathroom.  If you still need the shower option then all you have to do is get the fixtures for it and then get a shower curtain.  You can install a ring above the cast iron tub so you can draw the shower curtain when you are ready to take your showers.  But when you'd rather have a more relaxing bath, these beautiful cast iron tubs allow for maximum relaxation compared to the original bathtub you had. A cast iron tub will be your ticket to a soothing bath experience as well as a great looking bathroom.
