This survey factored in what each town was doing in terms of health care, nutrition, exercise, housing, and human services.  In terms of nutrition, the surveyors found that 80% of cities had a program for home delivered groceries and meals already in place but only 38% had programs that taught elderly individuals about the proper nutrition. As for ways to teach the elderly how best to stay living on their own in their private homes, only 33% of communities had established these types of programs.
