Finding the Perfect Free Standing Bathtub for my Antique Bathroom
When I moved into my house, there was a bathtub built in the wall. It got the job done, but I was never really wild about it, so when the day came to do that long awaited bathroom remodel, I couldn’t wait to get started! I wanted to get a new bathroom vanity, and of course replace that hideous old tub pronto. The vision I had for my newly remodeled bathroom didn’t include a built in tub at all, rather a beautiful clawfoot bathtub to become the new centerpiece of the room. I wanted to get an antique style maple or mahogany bathroom vanity with a porcelain sink to match the style of the tub, but now the trick was finding my centerpiece tub at price we could afford.
That’s when I began my hunt for the perfect bath tub. I searched high and low, and many clawfoot tubs were nice, but not quite was I looking for, or they were what I was looking for but I would have had to give up my firstborn child to pay for them! This would not do. So I started poking around online to see if there were any good tub stores there, and I found Simply Bathtubs! They had a huge selection of free standing bathtubs for me to choose from, and a variety of finishes and feet for me to choose from. And the best part about this site were the prices they offered their tubs for. Many tub styles I liked were under $1800, about two-thirds the price the home improvement stores wanted for the same tub. Simply Bathtubs also gave me free shipping on my new dream tub, and a “no questions asked” return policy if I was unhappy with my tub for any reason. What a great company! I knew they must have great bathtubs if they could stand behind their products with prices and a policy like this!
With the money I saved, I was able to buy some extra antique furnishings to really give my antique bathroom design a finished look. I am so happy I looked online to find my dream bath tub, because it brings me joy everyday I walk in the bathroom and see it, and every time I need a soothing bubble bath.
