Clawfoot Bathtub for the Win

When you think of classic and vintage styles for bathtubs, clawfoot tubs probably immediately come to mind. For good reason, too. First used long ago in the late 19th century, clawfoot tubs were marketed intially as a horse trough with the main difference being elegance and furnished with four legs. Later, as it became mass-produced, people started to recognize just one of the many benefits of having a sanitary and smooth surface in a bathtub.  Fast-forward to modern-day times and the clawfoot tub still upholds it's distinct perceived idea of class, except now it also has the coveted stamp of "vintage".

At Simply Bathtubs, we have nearly 70 different kinds of clawfoot bathtubs to satify your desires. Our bathtubs are available in classic cast iron or a lighter weight Acrastone acrylic style. Historically, cast iron was the production resource of choice and not much has changed today as most clawfeet bathtubs are still cast in iron. When formed with this metal, the bathtub retains an effective ability to block the vibrations and noise while insulating the temperature. Afterwards, a smooth but strong enamel coat is put atop the mold to provide reinforcement and polish.

A shift towards the contemporary demands of the 21st century can be seen with the trend for acrylic-style clawfeet bathtubs. At Simply Bathtubs, we have tubs available that are constructed with AcraStone--a durable acrylic material--that can withstand countless years of use. It is composed of two thick layers of reinforced and bonded acrylic. On top of that, the tubs are properly finished with a porcelain-like acrylic preventing wear and tear. Another sign of retro-fitting of the old for a newer sensibility is the Champagne Massage feature. Many of our clawfeet bathtubs, even our designer antique models, come equipped with a sophisticated massage system. It works by using air channels lining the outside edge of the tub that allows the air jets to blow soft bubbles into your bath. The therapeutic Champagne Massage comes with a wireless, water resistant remote control for you to easily operate the bubbles and temperature.

Either variety that you choose--whether it be antique-like clawfoot tubs, or ultramodern whirlpool tubs or a combination of both--we hope you know that Simply Bathtubs is a prime source working for you.
